City of Waynesville Spray Ground
"The Waters Flowing" Not unfamiliar words lately. Unlike
the usual meaning though this time the talk is about the new
Splash Park in Waynesville. The Waynesville-St Robert Chamber
of Commerce was at the Announcement, Thursday at 5 p.m., for
the opening of the new $200,000 park. It is a zero-depth
water facility, so it doesn’t require Lifeguards and children
of any age can enjoy the park. The hours are from 9 a.m. to
dusk. There is a central “on” button
which once pushed will run the water for 20 minutes. During
inactivity the water will shut off. M ayor Cliff Hammock
was on hand to push the “on” button and start the
water sprayers. The City Administrator Bruce Harrill and Park
Board Chairman Roger Olney were also at the event.
The Spray park was built to help replace the pool after
it was closed for safety reasons. |

Pointe Lookout Villas
Point Lookout Villas, located in Hickory subdivision of St.
Robert, marked their return to Waynesville- St. Robert Chamber
of Commerce with a ribbon cutting held August 24th.
The Pointe Lookout Villas are a 64 unit multi-family development

Advancia Corporation
The Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce recently held
a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate Advancia Corporation's
St. Robert office's 10th anniversary. During the ceremony
Chamber President Steve Lynch commented on the contributions
Advancia has made to the community and the importance of such
milestone celebrations.
Advancia Corporation also held a simultaneous open house
to mark this occasion. On hand was Advancia President Rudy
Alvarado who spoke on Advancia's dedication to their clients.
He went on to say that he sees Advancia as a kind of steward
of taxpayers' monies and that is something they take very
seriously.
Advancia employees Chuck Ockrassa and Dave Neeley were honored
during the event for their 10 years of service. Also recognized
were other employees who have been with the company for over

An additional cake cutting ceremony was held, lunch was provided

Wingmen Motorcycle Club of Devils Elbow
Started in 1979 in Italy by a group of 509th Airborne Infantry
soldiers who were also motorcyclists, the Wingmen Motorcycle
Club has grown to be a National Organization with chapters
spread all over the United States. The Wingmen Motorcycle
Club, Devils Elbow Chapter, infuse the camaraderie that brought
together the founding members with a desire to serve their
community. This organization contributes to the following
community events: Annual Support the Troops Motorcycle Run;
Developed the Rich Hale Jr. Memorial Scholarship which
gives high school seniors a $1000 scholarship to any technical/trade
college; Developed and organized the Annual Pulaski County

The basic purpose of a Christian Motorcyclists Association
(CMA) Chapter is to support the National CMA in its effort

in testimony and Christian witnessing to all motorcyclists;
provides a Christian fellowship ride group; and provides an
evangelistic association for motorcycling.

Genesis: A Place of New Beginnings Ground Breaking
Genesis: A Place of New Beginnings officially broke ground
Wednesday, March 28th for the new Genesis shelter
for battered women and children in Waynesville. Many
community leaders and supporters were on hand to witness the
groundbreaking along with the Good Samaritan Board of Directors,
who operate Genesis: A Place of New Beginnings.
While $400,000 is still needed to complete the $1.5 million
building, Pulaski County Presiding Commissioner Bill Ransdall
was proud to accept a grant for $300,000 from the State Department
of Economic Development Business and Community Services.
As fundraising efforts continue, Good Samaritan Board of Directors
President Ollie Jackson is encouraged by the progress of the

Furniture Gallery Opening
A Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting was held April 3rd at
Lynch's Furniture & Appliance celebrating the completion
of their new Broyhill Furniture Gallery. Attending the event
on behalf of Broyhill Furniture was David Epperson and Kelly
Lawhon. As part of the celebration door
prizes of two $500 Broyhill Gift Certificates were given away.
In a show of community support Lynch’s Furniture also
took this opportunity to make donations of three
$500 checks were presented to representatives from the American
Red Cross, the Armed Services YMCA and the Veteran’s
Memorial Fund.
In 1942, P.R. Lynch opened Lynch’s Furniture with absolutely
nothing, but with the help of his two oldest sons, Tom and
Vic, business flourished and Lynch’s became the unofficial
“information center” for the community.
That family tradition continued as Steve
came into the business in 1975 as P.R. retired. Steve believes

Waynesville Masonic Lodge # 375 A.F.
& A.M.
This picture is of several of the officers and members of
Waynesville Masonic Lodge #375 A.F. & A.M., the ladies
of the Order the Eastern Star, the boys of the Order of DeMolay,
and the girls from the Order of the Rainbow for Girls. All
of which hold there regular meetings at the Waynesville Masonic
Lodge.
Masonic charity gives $525 million dollars in America each
year to those with no connection to Masonry. In Missouri,
Masons support the Masonic Home, with facilities in St. Louis
and Kansas City. In addition, each Lodge can apply for up
to $5000 each year in matching funds from the Masonic Charity
Foundation to help fund local needs and projects.
The Order of the Eastern Star has over 10,000 Chapters in
the United States, Canada, and 18 other countries. Its members
are comprised of men who are Master Masons and women with
specific Masonic relationships. Many national and local charities
are among the projects supported by its members.
The Order of Demolay is an organization for young men 12
to 20 years old. Over 3 million young men have belonged to
DeMolay since it was founded in 1919. Although DeMolay Chapters
are sponsored by Masonic groups; it is not a junior Masonic
organization. It is an organization dedicated to guiding young
men in a program of worthwhile activities and a place to form
lasting friendships. DeMolay's participate in a wide range
of programs, including athletics, social, and civic projects.

where we carry on our own business, under the guidance of
our super adult advisors. We learn leadership skills, ritualistic
work, and do service for our cities, county, state, and nation.

It is the vision of the Pulaski Family Activity
