What the Chamber did this week for our members! * The Chamber staff welcomed Kate Thomas this week from the AmeriCorps VISTA program with the Waynesville R-VI School District. We appreciate the school district for selecting the Chamber to receive a Community VISTA for one year. The Chamber is lucky to have Kate and we look forward to the many new programs she will be working on to better our community. * The Chamber attended the Fort Leonard Wood's Woodworks meeting and promoted all county events now through April. *The Chamber Board met and has signed an agreement
with the Missouri Chamber to partner with their Federation on
behalf of our members. The Missouri Chamber Federation is a
advocacy-driven partnership of the state chamber and local and
regional chambers. An extension of the Federation is the Small
Business Alliance, an advocacy coalition of Missouri companies
with 10 employees or fewer, which are members of their local
or regional chambers. The purpose is to empower small businesses
and engage them in advocacy and political action to increase

Fort Leonard Wood Community Listening Session The Fort Leonard Wood Community Listening Session The listening session is an opportunity for the local community to provide public input to the Finding to No Significant Impact for the Supplemental Programmatic Environmental Assessment for Army 2020 Force Structure Realignment. This is a chance for the public to share their thoughts and concerns on the potential force reductions with Army leaders and subject-matter experts. The Army's decision and final supplemental assessment documents may be accessed online here. For more information, contact the Fort Leonard Wood Public Affairs Office at 573-563-4145. Chamber Board Positions Open The Waynesville - St. Robert Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announces the opportunity for members in good standing to be considered for open board positions for the term of 2015 - 2018. Requests for consideration shall be made by completing the application form and delivering the completed form to the Chamber office no later than seven (7) days before the Nomianationg committee meeting. Click Image for Board Flyer Taste of Pulaski County & Basket Auction The 2015 Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce's Annual Taste of Pulaski County & Basket Auction to be held on Saturday, March 28th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Robert Community Center. This event is the largest and primary fundraiser the Chamber holds each the year. Restaurants will be handing out fine samples of all their favorite menu items during this event. A variety of specialty baskets from area businesses will also be up for bid. Among baskets filled with chocolates, themed baskets, or baskets with great consumer value. A silent auction and door prizes are also included in this fun filled event. Doors open 11:00 a.m. with the Auction beginning at 12:30 p.m. Come early to browse the wonderful items for bid and start sampling the delicious food offered by area restaurants.

Help make Pulaski County a Certified Work Ready Community Pulaski County has been approved by the Missouri State Investment
Board as a Work Ready Community In Progress. The designation demonstrates Pulaski County's dedication and commitment to preparing their workforce for the jobs of today and the jobs of the future. The CWRC in Progress status grants Pulaski County up to two years to attain full CWRC Certification. Employers are needed to help Pulaski County reach the CWRC Certification. There is no cost involved and does not obligate an employer to anything. It simply indicates you have heard of the NCRC and that you would prefer candidates who apply for your job openings to have a certificate. Volunteer Connections February 24th - 27th - Take students and volunteers through a Harriet
Tubman's Underground Railroad experience with the Pulaski Family
Activity Coalition. 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. JROTC Invitational Drill Meet The Waynesville High School JROTC will host its first ever JROTC Invitational Drill Meet at Waynesville High School with more than 1,000 individuals expected to attend from 7 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. on March 14. In addition to the high school teams, the impressive, precision U.S. Army Drill Team will attend and showcase their talents during the event. Fifteen to 20 high school drill teams (with 50 to 75 cadets) are expected to compete in one individual event - the individual drill down - and these seven team events: - Armed Regulation Team Trophies will be awarded. Cadets will compete in the WHS main gym,
auditorium and small gym with Fort Leonard Wood drill sergeants
and other soldiers serving as the judges. AdvancED review team recommends accreditation for Waynesville
Schools Wood students and parents invited to tour Pick Elementary In 2010, Pick Elementary students combined with Wood Elementary, where students had been moved when Pershing Elementary closed. Wood was originally designed as a junior high facility but could easily accommodate both the Pick and Pershing populations. Now that enrollment has leveled off, the return of students to Pick Elementary is under consideration. "With the current reductions occurring on Fort Leonard Wood, particularly the loss of the 4th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, the possibility of utilizing Pick Elementary instead of Wood Elementary has become more feasible," says Dr. Chris Berger, assistant superintendent of operational services. "In addition to its elementary design advantages, Pick has a more efficient heating and cooling system and an advantageous location to the primary neighborhood housing Wood Elementary students." The Waynesville R-VI Board of Education will seek parental input during the tour and informational meeting. "This tour and informational meeting is an opportunity for parents to see first-hand the child-friendly facilities that Pick has to offer," says Dr. Brian Henry, superintendent. "We are looking forward to hearing what parents think of the facility." In addition to providing feedback that evening, parents may also

According to radio officials the winners predictions were within a couple hours of the actual time. Congratulations Brenda and Mike!! ____________________________________________ Combative Tournament Fort Leonard Wood Sports Department is offering a Commander's Cup Combative Tournament, Single Elimination at Davidson Fitness Center. The Combative Tournament is open to Active Duty Military ALL branches of Service, Unit affiliation is necessary. Combative is a functional, mixed martial art form combining Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, clinch hitting, takedowns and ground-fighting techniques. The fighters will compete in several weight classes. The tournament will be ruled and upheld by the United States Army Combative Competition Rules & Regulations within a graduated set of rules, game time is forfeit time. Winners will represent Fort Leonard Wood at the Fort Campbell Invitational. Combatives certification is not a requirement to compete. We live in a wonderfully generous and patriotic community. The AAMVC Board will meet Friday, March 20th, at 12 noon in the Conference Room of the Cemetery's Administration building.
