This year is proving to be a very busy and eventful year for the City of Waynesville. The Downtown revitalization is continuing with the demolition of the old "Tinkle Bar" and another building undergoing the same process. Next, we will see the construction of a new building to house the license bureau and a improved City parking lot. The bid on our waste-water treatment plant upgrade has been awarded and work will start on that project in the late spring/early summer. That project was funded with State Revolving Fund Bonds at a 1.65% interest rate which helps us keep our costs and rates as low as possible. I am committed to ensuring that the City is steadily making progress to achieve our goals of improving City operations and services for our citizens. 2011 will be another busy year for the City with many capital improvement projects. I appreciate the support from the City Council, City Staff and our citizens as we work to complete these improvements.

I have an open door policy at City Hall, and I am always "willing and able" to listen to the concerns of the citizens and businesses in the City and to do what we can, working with the City Council, to solve the problems of the citizens and to continually move the City forward. Please let us know how we can assist you. Thank you for your continued support!!
