Conceal Carry Class - August 8th & 9th is the
next Conceal Carry Class. The class is taught by Advanced
Performance Shooting, hosted by Waynesville Gun and Pawn (and
owner Don Bordwell is one of the instructors). The classroom
portion is 6-10 p.m.on Friday at the store (105 Historic 66,
Waynesville), then the class will meet at 8:00 Saturday morning
and caravan to the range for qualification shooting and practical
instruction. Everyone will be back to the store by 12:00 for
graduation. Cost is $70. The State of Missouri requires participants
to qualify with both a semi-auto and a revolver, loaners are

have such a large number of its members attend monthly luncheons.
Unfortunately, due to the large number of last minute Chamber
luncheon attendees a policy has been put into place by the
Chamber Board of Directors. This policy started in APRIL 2005;
anyone who responds after the R.s.v.p. cut-off time (9:00
a.m. the Tuesday before the luncheon) or shows up without
an R.s.v.p. may be charged an additional $10. If an R.s.v.p.
is received and they do not attend the luncheon there may
be a $10 charged for the meal. The decision was made to charge
this amount to compensate our Chamber member restaurants for
the last minute adjusts they must make to their menus.

Run/Walk for the Fallen 2014 - August 16th at Gammon Field, Fort
Leonard Wood. Registration is at 6:30 a.m., run starts at
7:30 a.m. individual fee is $15 and groups or units with over

Cardboard Boat Race - August 16th, Gather some cardboard,
a team of volunteers and register now through August 15th
to build your own watercraft for the annual Family and Morale,
Welfare and Recreation Cardboard Boat Race. The race, which
is scheduled for 10 a.m., August 16th at the lake at Training
Area 250, is open to the public. Registration is free and

Relay For Life of Pulaski County - September 20th,
12:00 p.m. -12:00 a.m. at The ARK Community and Sports Center:
Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer
will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be
supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. This
12 hour fundraising walk is organized by local volunteers
to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Live entertainment,
games, food, and community support make this an event you

20th Annual Military Police Regimental Golf Tournament
- September 26th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The tournament
will be held at the Piney Valley Golf Course on Fort Leonard
Wood, MO and is open to all Active Duty, Reserve, National
Guard, Retired Military, and civilian personnel affiliated
with the Military Police Corps Regiment. A fee of $60 per
person includes Green Fees, Cart, Meal, and Driving Range.
All reservations will be on standby status until payment is
received. Active and Retired MPs, DA Civilians associated
with MP units, and MP Family members will have priority and
must be paid by August 1st then open to all others until September

Frog Races - October 4th the 7th Annual Frog Races
will be held by the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce
in conjunction with Frogtober Fest at the Waynesville City
Park. "Adopt" a frog for $5 or a team of 3 for $10.
Frogs will race down the Roubidoux and the first heat will
begin at 1 p.m. The Frog Race is sponsored by Sonic Drive
