Members Program Kicks Off
The Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce
is excited to announce a new membership benefit aimed at bridging
our members and supporting our local community.
Beginning in April of 2011 Chamber members are encouraged
to report to us when they visit another member's establishment.
At the end of the month the member with the most visits will
have the opportunity to have a video posted to our website...FREE!
This only works if you're honest about who you're doing business
with and remember EVERY VISIT COUNTS! Just follow this link,

of Pulaski County and Basket Auction Thank You
The Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce

Taste of Pulaski County & Basket Auction was a blast and
we had a record year! Wow, what can I say but THANK YOU to
all the Chamber members who made donations, Ambassadors/Board
of Directors who helped with the event and those in attendance
to include the bidders. Thank you just isn't enough; there
is no way we could have done this without you. How will we
ever top this next year? Speaking of next year mark your 2012

What a fantastic turn-out at our 2011 Taste of Pulaski County
and Basket Auction! Through all the hard work of your Chamber
Staff, Ambassadors, and volunteers, and the generous donations
by the restaurants and sponsors, we raised $20,000 this year.
As I predicted, this was a fun and lively event, Arghh! As
many of you know, the Taste was Erin Sipes' last Chamber event.
She will be sorely missed. . . . As we spring into nice weather,
take the opportunity to visit with the Chamber staff, Ambassadors,

have been married to my wonderful wife Kay for 24 years. We
started calling Waynesville home in 2001. We have four fantastic
children and three beautiful grandchildren. I grew up as a
military dependent and retired from the Army after 22 years
of active duty service. I thoroughly enjoy working with and
taking care of people. In my spare time I enjoy family, friends,
the lake and sports.

is an exciting time for the Pulaski County Tourism Bureau
and Visitors Center. The staff is gearing up for the increase
in travelers stopping in the center, receiving in travel guides
from cities across the state of Missouri and also this is
also the time of the year we start seeing the groups and motor
coaches that will stop in Pulaski County to enjoy an array
of activities from visiting area museums, getting their kicks
with Terry Primas' step on guided tour of Route 66 and dining
in area restaurants. Please welcome the following groups for

have received some 2010 census data information.
The first data received was population and housing occupancy
status. The people who went door to door collecting data did
an excellent job. The Pulaski County 2010 census shows a total
population of 52,274 people and total housing units of 17,904.
The Phelps County 2010 census shows a total population of
45,156 people and total housing units of 19,533. The Laclede
County 2010 census shows a total population of 35,571 people
and total housing units of 15,061. The 2000 Pulaski County
census listed the county population at 41,165 people. The
increase in population over the last ten years is 11,109 people.

 Annual
Easter Egg Hunt
Peter Cotton Tail is making his way down the bunny trail
to the City of St. Robert for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
The hunt will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011, from 1:00pm
to 3:00pm. Due to construction of the new St. Robert Golf
Course next to the Municipal Center, the egg hunt will be
moved to the Municipal Ball Field next to the Community Center.

 This
year is proving to be a very busy and eventful year for the
City of Waynesville. The Downtown revitalization is continuing
with the demolition of the old "Tinkle Bar" and
another building undergoing the same process. Next, we will
see the construction of a new building to house the license
bureau and a improved City parking lot. The bid on our waste-water
treatment plant upgrade has been awarded and work will start
on that project in the late spring/early summer.
